Lets stamp our stamps, and then begin our texture project. Unfortunately Google is experiencing some technical difficulty and I cannot get the power point to load. Stay tuned for the slides.
Work day. We will be continuing with our Dia de los Muertos project, and for those who are finished they may glaze projects or work on extra credit assignments.
What a strange week! Welcome back, lets look at a Day of the Dead artist for inspiration, and walk through a few more steps on the document camera together.
I am excited to introduce our new project, inspired by Dia de los Muertos, the Day of the Dead.
Today we will be working on our worksheet, and designing a final composition for the clay wall hanging.
My worksheet example:
Quite a few people forgot to sign off on their clean up chart, for participation points please remember to do so, they add up! Today is an all class period work day. These are looking great!
Our bases are formed! Today, over the document camera, we will discuss how to slip and score our added elements as well as how to create legs/tails/wings without them sticking out. Lets get creative!
Today we will be finishing up our second pinch pot, learning to slip and score, and creating the base for our creature! All slides shown here will be demonstrated in class under the document camera.
Remember, no thicker no thinner, we want all the walls to be even and roughly the size of your pinky on its side!
Todays exercises will be done on the document camera. We will be sketching ideas for our animal/creature spoon holder made from two pinch pots. If there is time, we will begin trying to make a pinch pot with even walls.
Lets finish up those clay cranes today. The last half of class I will demonstrate how to make a pinch pot, and we will begin brainstorming animal/creatures for this first project.
Today we will finish listening to Sadako, and begin create an origami peace crane ourselves! This mini project will serve as our introductory clay project.
